Palm Sunday This Weekend

We are expecting “Ishek” (the Donkey) and his mate “Erin”  for all our Palm Sunday Masses this weekend.  The service is in two parts. The first celebrates the triumphant entry of Jesus into the Holy City Jerusalem.  Down the Mt of Olives and pass the garden of Gethsemene,  in through the “golden gate” near the temple Mount.  The people laid their cloaks on the path and waved palm and olive branches in welcome.  We do something similar with a procession into the Church. The second part is the Reading of the passion and the Eucharist.  Come and join the celebration of this most Holy Week in our Christian calandar.   Saturday 6pm.   Sunday  8am, 9.30am and 5 pm.

Big Five O for Kieran

Look who turned the big five O the other day and will soon be taking a leap from the clouds!  – none other than Kieran Kilgallon who celebrated with friends and family at home. Pictured with his niece  Jayde Williamson, sister-in-law Jennifer Worden, daughters Jacinta and Jessica, sister Marie Laundy, his wife Kath, daughter Joslyn and nephew Wade Williamson.  The family gave him a birthday present of a tandem ‘sky dive’  – obviously Kieran has a strong stomach for such feats and will be able to tick that one off his “to do” list.

All Stars Dan & Dani from ‘The Block’

All Stars Dan and Dani visited the Parish today (March 7) – they spent several hours at the Mitre 10 store in Malaga, came for a morning tea, and in the afternoon met about 100 young and not so young fans.   In a children’s colouring competition which they judged, two Mary MacKillop students won prizes.  Namely Kane Markham (5yrs) won the 5-8 year old section and Megan Gorton (11yrs) took off the 9-12 year olds section. Each won a DVD player.
